The script calls for two main locations, a run down dingy office and a chinese restaurant.  The main focal piece I wanted to concentrate on was the glass windowed office where the characters were grilled after the office break in.  I used the bright, unkempt, water damaged walls and the messy disrepair to mirror the horrific state of the characters lives.  In contrast I wanted the restaurant to be clean, organized and a dark lit conspiratorial chamber.

“Within Planet Ant’s small black-box confines Jennifer Maiseloff has created a set which subtly conveys Hannah’s worlds. (Interesting that an agoraphobic has walls filled with paintings of steps and corridors leading to – Where?)”- Amy J. Parre…

These short snippets of dialogue are the heart of Mamet’s art and are handled well by the actors, who perform on a realistic restaurant set designed by Jennifer Maiseloff. The simple but effective staging is in line with the economy that marks every element of Mamet’s landmark play...Maiseloff’s second act set ably depicts the dumpy real estate office on the morning after the planned office break-in
