The play takes place in the room of a huge fan and collector of Star Wars memorabilia which happens to be in the basement of his parents house. I created the room to mingle the main characters obsession with the families necessary storage of Christmas decorations and old clothing. I created a hidden safe that was called for in the script by making a secret door that opened with impressive red light and fog. I detailed the basement with fabric, memorabilia, wood grain, brick in order to give it a lived in feeling reminiscent of the 1970s.
